What is a good French press recipe?
Use a coarse to medium-coarse grind, about 1:15 coffee to water, and a 4-minute steep as your baseline. After steeping, plunge gently and decant the coffee so it does not keep extracting in the press.
What to Check First
Start around 30 g coffee to 450 g water.
Grind slightly finer if the cup is weak.
Pour into a carafe after plunging.
