Milk Steaming Technique Guide

What is the right milk steaming technique?

Stretch the milk briefly near the start, then bury the tip slightly to roll the milk into a smooth whirlpool until it reaches drinking temperature. Big bubbles usually mean too much air or a wand position that never formed a proper roll.

What to Check First

Add air early, not throughout the whole steam.

Keep the pitcher rolling after stretching.

Stop before the milk smells cooked or tastes burnt.
