How to Dial In Espresso
What is the fastest way to dial in espresso?
Lock dose first, choose a reasonable yield, then adjust grind until the shot time and taste move into balance. If the shot is sour, go finer or extract more; if it is bitter and drying, go coarser or reduce yield.
What to Check First
Start near a 1:2 ratio for medium roasts.
Adjust grind in small steps.
Taste before changing temperature, pressure, or basket prep.
