Eletta Explore Milk Lid Assembly: A Reassembly Checklist

The Eletta Explore manual's thorough-cleaning steps take the lid apart in a fixed order: detach the spout, spout extension and intake tube; turn the froth dial clockwise to the "Insert" position and pull it upwards; turn the connector anticlockwise and pull it out. Reassembling the Eletta Explore milk lid means reversing that order and checking each part:

Refit the carafe connector (F7) and turn it back until it is secure.
Push the froth adjustment dial (F1) down into the lid at the Insert position, then turn it to a froth setting.
Refit the LatteCrema spout (F3) and, on the Hot carafe, the spout extension (F4).
Secure the milk intake tube (F6) to the socket on the underside of the lid. The manual repeats this check every time the carafe is prepared, because a loose intake tube cannot draw milk.
Put the lid back on the milk container, raise the flap on the machine and push the carafe fully onto the connector.

Eletta Explore Froth Dial Left on Clean After the Clean Cycle

If the Eletta Explore lid is clean and assembled correctly, the milk itself is the next suspect. The manual says froth quality depends on milk temperature, type, brand and nutritional values, and advises milk straight from the fridge at about 5 °C. Eletta Explore Carafe Prompts: Wrong Carafe for the Drink

Eletta Explore Carafe Care Between Cleanings

The Eletta Explore reminds you to run the carafe Clean function: per the manual, the D3 milk carafe Clean alert indicator lights up on the homepage and "remains alight" until the milk carafe is cleaned.

Old milk in the Eletta Explore carafe also hurts froth. According to the manual, the LatteCrema Hot carafe can stay in the fridge no longer than 2 days and the LatteCrema Cool no longer than 1 day before a full clean, and a carafe left out of the fridge for more than 30 minutes should be disassembled and cleaned. The Clean function must not be stopped while it is running.
